Ethics in fashion photography

1.Somethings that they changed to the models face is that made her lips bigger and moved her eyes around and made her face a little darker.

2. I do not think its ok to change someones face because it is not the real person when you finish messing with it.

3.I think that they are more ethically wrong to do this type of manipulation.

4.I think that if you just need to cover up the face some weres if u missed a spot of makeup or just change a little details. Some that you should not do is do not change the neck or change the eyes to make them better shaped or even mess with the skin color.

5.Fashion photography is people who try to get the perfect picture of someone who the world would think that they are perty, and a photojournalism is someone who likes to take pictures of things.

6. The relationship that the photos have to reality is that the people in the photos are not real they were people but then the change most of the facial features.

Negative evaluation

1. I think that six of my photos came out good.
2. I think about four of my photos are not going to come out good because they were fuzzy and not infocus.
3. This photo that i printed out was the best because it was not as fuzzy as the other ones but i could of made it more better.
4. Poinht of view is the best in my photos because I get the right angles.
5. I have point of view in my photos and rule of thirds.

My first print.

1. I think the guy on the computer is in sharp focus because you can start seeing the details on this shirt.

a. The two people is the ones that are in focus but the computer and the chairs in the background are not in focus.

b. I think the cause of them not being in focus is that I did not take my time and focus in the picture.

2. The good black and white contrast in the picture i think is the guy and the teacher because one has black and the other has white.

3. Some of the rules are in the picture like fill the picture with the subject.

4. There is no yellowing of the picture.

5.There is no print rings or spots.

6.Yes all of my negatives are in my folder.

Caption:

Photo Manipulation and ethics

A. The main points in this story was to show how photograpers went to far and started to mess with the pictures and tell false info about them.

B. I think that this type of photo editing is unethical because they are changeing what happened at that moment and that when you take a picture you want the capter the moment not change what happened at that time.

2. A.The picture that i think is the most unethical is the one with the missles because why whould u tell the public there was 4 missles that launched but only 3 realy did. That would mean that the missles were not working right and they might feel unsafe.

2.B the one that is the least unethical is the guy standing next to thelong metal pipe. Its the least unethical because they jusy messed with his hand they did not change nothing major to it.

Marlboro Marine audio slideshow

a.Some of the skills that Luis Sinco used is a slideshow and while the slideshow went he told he story about what happened.

b. Some things that were affective of this slideshow was that it was show how the people who came back for the wars shows how they have hard times going back into the normal way of life.

A. The most powerful picture i saw was when he was just sitting there and just thingingn about killing him self and what to do next in his life. Also it seemed that he was depressed because of the other human beings he had killed.

B.The most powerful sequence was when he was getting maried because it shows that he was trying to get on with his life and try to get back to normal.

C.The audio enhance the photos because it tells you what is going on in the picture insted of people guessing what is going on.

D.The photos help the story because it shows what is going on in his life and how it was for him.

Post shoot reflection

1. Some challenges that I encounter was that people would cover there faces. When I was trying to get close people would stop working and they would look at the camera. The pictures that I took that had good moments they were working.

2. The one thing that I kept on looking at was the camera angle what I was in like was I getting the full picture the full emotion in it.

3. While shooting i would try to get some leading lines that would lead to person I was shooting. Also I was trying to get a good camera angle.

4. Something that I would do differently is that I would take my time and not rush and look at the light meter and look for some of the composition techiques.

Processing Black and White photos

First this you need to do is to load the film onto the reel and put it on the tank. Now lay the stuff infront of you and learn were they are and what they are. After you learn were they are u need to turn off the lights.

Step 1: In the dark, take the film from the cassette, then pull the flat end off the 35mm canister and unwind the film and take the end of the film from the spool by peeling off the tape IN TOTAL DARKNESS!

Step 2: Load the film onto metal or plastic film reel.

Step 3: Now load the reel in the film tank and cover it and now you can turn on the lights.

Step 4: First make sure the temperature of the chemicals is good, development is directly affected by two things the speed of the film and the temperature of the developer.

Step 5: You need to poor the developer into the open part of the film tank, and then cover it. DO NOT OPEN THE TANK ITSELF! Turn the tank upside down every minute. When it is facing up again youu need to tap it a couple times to get rid of any air bubbles that might be in there.

Step 6: pour running water into the pour spot for one minute to stop the development. You could mix some glacial acetic acid with the water and let the film set for 30 seconds to get the developer off. This is know as stop bath.

Step 7: Now to use fixer with hardener to help protect the negative from getting scratched. This will take about 5-10mins, After this you need to inspect the negatives.

Step 8: Now you dont have to worry about letting light get on the film. Remove thej tank cover and let it sit in the cold water for 5mins.

Step 9: You need to get al the fixer ogg the negatives to avoid the white stains on them. Pour a tankful of Hypo Eliminator and let it set for 2 mins.

Step 10: The last wash for 5 mins.

Step 11: pull the film out of the tank. DO NOT TOUCH THE SURFAVE OF THE NEGATIVES! use washing pins or film clips to hang the film to dry in a dust-free area.

Step 12: In about 1-2 hours, the film will dry annd u need to use scissors to cut the film into strips of six long negatives. Do not cut the film it self just the space you can cut. Store the negative in clear glassline envopes or PVC plastic negative pages.

Repetition

This is a good example of Repetition because of the people are in a line and it leads your eyes to the back of the line.
This picture is a great example of Repetition because of how the palm trees lead to the fire.

This is a great picture of Repetition because of how the framing of the circle leads to the dog.

What the pros are doing - Sports

1. Focal length of lens-EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM zoom

2. Shutter speed-Canon EOS-1d Mark II N

3. The effect of shooting at this shutter speed is that higher the shutter speed the total exposure of time and the duration of light reaching the film.

4. Aperture-shot at 1/1000 f/2.8EF

5. The effects of shooting at this aperture is that
it has a narrow aperture.

6. I think that the photographer was on the ground floor because it seems that the photographer had to look up some to get the player that is in mid air. Also he did not get the floor in the picture so he had to ben looking up.

Filling the frame

I like this picture for Filling the frame because of how the people are realy into painting and how there is buckets of paint infront of them. Also How the girl in the back is dipping the heart and paining it at the same time. The back ground is also filling beacuse of just a plain back ground there is tables back there.

Action and Emotion

This is a great picture of action and emotion because of how the girl is getting her blood taken. Also how she is not looking at the camera and her face is full of fear and hurting emotion. The action is that someone is taken her blood in a give blood drive I assume.

The Story

This picture shows the best picture of the story becasue it shows that hes not looking at the camera and that how everthing in the room besides the light box. The story tells me that he is realy into drawing and that he likes no one to mess with him while he is drawing.

Great Black and white photographers part 3

I picked this photo because of how colse the photographer got to his face and how he has the dead stare. I see a old man with a cowboy hat also his coat that covers some of this face. I smell the old people smell comming off of him. I hear all of his bones snaping ans cracking while he is stting down while he taking this picture. I taste the smell and the taste of the leather comming off of his feash made hat. I fell like hes a sad old man but at the same time I feel unsave with him becasue of the stare he has. To share this photo with everyone else i would make a poster and show everyone whos he is and i would make a blog on the computer so that they could look at it

2008 Winter contest

I picked this photo because of the photographer named Hillary Head got a good example of rule of thirds and how they were not to close he was in perfect view. Also how he is in the middle of working seems like he did not know he was getting his picture taken.

2008 Winter contest

I picked this photo because of how the photographer named Sierra Kelly got colse up to the rock so it seems like your face is right next to them. Also how the lighting goes from light in the front and then dark in the back. I also like how the rocks go from big ones to the little pebble like rocks in the back.

Great Black and white photographers part 3

What caught my eye with this picture was that he was a warrior and that he looks like he just got back from a battle or a fight. I like how he takes I see the paint on the person face and the dead look in his face that makes him a little scary. Also I see the him holding on to his spear. I smell the stench of the mud dirt and paint comming off of his body and the feathers that is on him arm and on his hat which came from some kind of a bird. I hear all of the dead souls that come from his spear and I could hear the dont mess with me from looking from his face. I taste the the dirt that is comming off of him and the smell of his not taking a bath in a long time also the smell of death comes off of him. I feel his gridy hands and the dirt and sand feeling on his arms and the long heavy spear and the paint on his face feels like its been there and dryed out for a very long time. I would creat a power point and have everyone go to the theater and a day long tell everyone about his picuters and how his photos mean something. Also i would make posters that would have a picture of his work and then put some facts about the photo or just tell what it means all around the school and in the class rooms.

This picture has a great view of the endless road view and the how the shore line is all messed up and that there is only one house that is left on the strip of land.

Hurricane Ike

I pick this picture because of the hat blending in with the chairs and how the walls have that curve/wrap around feature in the picture.

Hurricane Ike

This picture is a great example of Rule of Third because the guy is walking in what seems like a endless street.

Black & White pictures

A negative is that the lightest areas are shown as the darkest and the positive is that Light is positive, darkness negative. The difference in these pictures is that the negative shows more of the photo than the positive.

Avoiding Mergers

this is a ok example of avoiding mergers because of the guy and the water do not merge together.

Simplicity

This is a great sxample of simplicity because of the simple back ground and the line of people.

Rule of third

In this picture the long streach of people leading back and the road streaching back also is a great example of rule of third.

Framing

This picture is a great example of framing because of the side building that frame the twin towers.

Balance

This picture is a great example of balance because of the front has the rectangle shape.

lines

In this picture the lines of the building that go up and down help see that the guy is falling from a long distance.

These are the words I think are important:

parallax:The displacement of an observed object due to the change in the position of the observer.

Didgital:Displaying a readout in digital form.

mirror:A reflecting surface

Eyepiece: The lens which the eye views the image formed by the objective lens or lenses.

Definition:

Aperture: An opening

Exposure: When something os exposed

Depth of field: The range of distances along the axis of an optical instrument

Focal length: Distance from the focal point to the corresponding principal plane.

I like this picture also because it has the side wraps and the long steach effect.

I like this picture because it has good lighting and its someones art room. Also it has a zoom in and the sides of it are blur'd so it has the zoom in look.

I like this picture because I think its a good view of his side profile
I dislike this picture because I did not get the face in the picture so i did not get his expression that he had.
